Overview

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Nature Program Manager to shape the content at the leading nature and biodiversity event Bloom, which will be hosted at Trellis Impact 25. In this role, you’ll design and execute 20-30 high-impact sessions, curate thought-provoking content, and collaborate with top-tier speakers to drive meaningful conversations and action.

This is a rare opportunity to influence how the world’s most powerful companies and investors tackle biodiversity loss. By developing creative, engaging programming, you’ll help shape strategies to halt and reverse nature loss — bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and changemakers to build a more resilient future. If you thrive at the intersection of sustainability, storytelling, and strategic event planning, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

1. Program Strategy & Content Development

  • Develop session topics and formats aligned with the Bloom tracks, focusing on the most timely and impactful issues that will help private-sector sustainability teams accelerate their impact.
  • Draft compelling session titles and descriptions to ensure engaging content that meets the needs of our audience.
  • Develop and implement concepts for innovative and interactive sessions and other event experiences that go beyond typical panel discussions.
  • Evaluate speaker nominations for program fit and audience relevance.
  • Ensure Bloom sessions align with the broader Trellis Impact 25 program and integrate biodiversity perspectives in VERGE and GreenFin sessions where appropriate.

2. Speaker & Sponsor Coordination

  • Identify, confirm, and prepare speakers and moderators, managing all communications and logistics.
  • Schedule and lead speaker prep calls and develop session materials, ensuring readiness for the event.
  • Facilitate sponsor relationships, collaborating with the Trellis team to place sponsors in relevant sessions.
  • Connect the Trellis team with key industry leaders, speakers, and sponsorship contacts across the corporate sustainability ecosystem.

3. Event Execution & Team Collaboration

  • Provide preparatory support leading up to the event, ensuring seamless session execution.
  • Maintain clear, consistent and proactive communication with our Nature Director and other Trellis team members.
  • Be available during work hours to communicate with team members and external partners on a timely basis.
  • Attend Trellis Impact 25, providing on-site session coordination and, if interested, serving as a moderator.

Qualifications

  • Deep expertise in nature conservation and restoration.
  • Familiarity with key corporate and financial sustainability strategies, concepts, roadblocks and stakeholders.
  • Strong network within the nature and biodiversity community, including business, finance, innovation, and civil society leaders.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong creative writing and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and manage deadlines effectively.

Position Details

  • This part-time role is expected to require an average of 10-15 hours per week.
  • If the candidate also possesses expertise and interest in sustainable finance and ESG, there’s a possibility for additional work hours from August to October to support GreenFin.
  • The contract will last from May 2025 through October 2025.
  • $80 to $125 per hour (based on experience and qualifications).
