Annual Base Salary: $85,000 to $95,000
OTE: $130,000 to $140,000
Overall compensation (base salary + commission) for this role will be provided commensurate with years of experience and qualifications

Position

As the Account Executive, Digital Media, you will be responsible for the full sales cycle (from prospecting to closing new business) for Trellis Group’s online media. Reporting to the Vice President, Sales, this position will manage the sale of newsletter and online sponsorships, including custom content, webcasts and white papers, develop sales marketing collateral, collaborate cross-functionally on new revenue product development and work closely with the rest of the sales team to identify and close strong sales targets. 

The role will act as a consultative partner for our sponsorship Account Executives, joining that team on calls with prospective customers to help scope out and develop potential projects. They will work in close collaboration with our Vice President, Editorial Strategy & Product on new product development, strategy and collateral creation.

We are looking for someone with strong sales experience and track record in digital media and who can play an entrepreneurial role to accelerate the growth and transformation of this fast-growing business unit.

Job Responsibilities

Sales and Revenue Generation

  • Own the full digital media sales cycle and manage a monthly sales quota, with a strong focus on new business development and proactive prospecting
  • Work with our tech, product and marketing teams to develop and maintain the strategies and systems that support sales, prospecting, lead generation and delivery efforts
  • Strategically collaborate with the sponsorship Account Executive team to close large digital deals in a “player/coach” capacity  
  • Manage and deliver reliable forecasts and work with Sales leadership and finance to produce budgets  
  • Work cross-functionally to assess the feasibility of new and custom products as necessary

Market Expansion 

  • Represent sales in product expansion discussions and plans 
  • Represent the voice of the customer in product development discussions
  • Guide pricing strategy for new digital media products
  • Maintain and create new sales marketing collateral to support sales efforts
  • As new offerings are developed, this role will lead the development of sales strategies, infrastructure, territory assignments, etc. for that product 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in digital media sales (preferably B2B sales)
  • Proven track record of successful revenue generation
  • Previous experience building and maintaining effective and high-quality sales marketing collateral
  • Experience working with cross functional teams (marketing, product, technology, etc.) 
  • Passion for sustainability and climate-focused initiatives
